Although homoeopathic substances listed in this article are generally not known to cause serious side effects, their effectiveness has not been demonstrated by scientific research. Consumers should check labels carefully, since a homoeopathic product that is not diluted, or not diluted enough, may contain ingredients that cause allergic reactions, side effects, or interactions. It is always advisable to discuss any new treatment program with your healthcare practitioner.

For more information, see Homoeopathy FAQs, "What Is Homoeopathy?," and “Using Homoeopathy with Professional Guidance” in Homoeopathic Medicine.

Short periods of anxiety are experienced by almost everyone, but some individuals are more inclined to be troubled with this problem. A sensation of discomfort or apprehension is experienced (both emotional and physical) and, although the person may be aware of a reason for feeling insecure or worried, the cause is sometimes difficult to identify. Some individuals experience “panic attacks”—very distressing episodes accompanied by breathing problems, palpitations, and intense (but temporary) feelings of both agitation and helplessness. Homoeopathic medicines relieve the physical and mental signs, without causing drowsiness or decreasing alertness.
