Create savory, sweet chops on the grill with a marinade made with soy sauce and brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops, 1-inch thick
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds, crushed
  • 1 Tbs black pepper
  • 1 Tbs brown sugar
  • 3 Tbs soy sauce

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients except pork chops. Place chops in a shallow dish and pour marinade over; let marinate 30 minutes. Prepare medium-hot coals in grill bed. Remove pork from marinade, discarding marinade, and grill chops (or broil chops 3-4 inches from heat source) for 7-8 minutes, turning once until internal temperature on a thermometer reads 160° F.

Cooking Tip: For marinated pork chops, put pork in a self-sealing bag with marinade in the refrigerator first thing in the morning. By suppertime, pork chops can be removed from marinade--dispose of used marinade--and ready to grill.
