Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups cold water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 1 Tbs vanilla extract

Directions

  • In saucepan, mix together sugar, flour, cocoa, water, salt, cinnamon, and cloves.
  • Over low heat, cook until ingredients combine. Once combined, turn heat up to medium-high and simmer for 4 minutes.
  • Stir milk in slowly and heat until simmering but not boiling.
  • Stir until smooth and add vanilla.
  • Whisk with fork and pour into mugs.
