Tips to Boost Your Metabolism Naturally

According to a recent informational slideshow on the Dr. Oz website, there are many ways to naturally boost your metabolism which can potentially lead to weight loss. Foods and drinks that appear to be helpful include papaya, chilies, black pepper, cacao, matcha green tea, and iced water. Building muscle, which burns at least three times the number of calories as fat, is another great way to get a boost. If you don’t have time to hit the gym, try taking 1000 mg of branch-chained amino acids (BCAA) daily, which may help repair and build muscle. And taking 500 mg of white bean extract daily, prior to a carb-heavy meal, could protect against blood sugar spikes, which promote fat storage.
