Nonfood Factors

Avoid most alcoholic drinks unless approved by your doctor.

Is This Diet Vegetarian-Friendly?

Yes. Aged meats make up the biggest group of tyramine-containing foods, although some vegetarian mainstays like soyabean products must be avoided as well.

Eating Out

Be sure to ask about the freshness of the foods you order. Fresh or frozen foods will be better than aged, cured, or fermented foods. Ask about ingredients, and make substitutions as needed.
