NSAIDs reduce inflammation (swelling), pain, and temperature. Ibuprofen is used to treat mild to moderate pain, fever, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, primary dysmenorrhoea, and other conditions. Ibuprofen is available in prescription and nonprescription strengths.
