Before cooking, soak the beans overnight. They may be prepared in a crockpot, on top of the stove, or pressure cooked. 1 cup of dried beans makes approximately 2 1/2 portions of cooked beans. They are often featured in soups, and can be added to salads, relishes, and stews.
