- Avoid harmful habits
Give up alcohol, caffeine, smoking, and recreational drugs to reduce the risk of birth defects and pregnancy complications
- Gain the right amount of weight
Follow the advice of your doctor to prevent problems associated with inadequate or excessive weight gain
