Country-Style Ribs with Whiskey Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 Tbs Cajun spice blend
- 2 1/2 lbs country-style ribs
- Barbecue Sauce1 14.5 oz can tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup whiskey
- 1/2 cup steak sauce
- 2 Tbs grated onion
- 2 cloves grated garlic
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Rub Cajun spice blend on ribs and place on a rack on a baking sheet. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes.
- While ribs are cooking, add ingredients for whisky barbecue sauce to a small sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Let the sauce reduce until it has thickened and the alcohol has cooked off. Sauce will become much sweeter.
- Baste ribs with sauce and continue to cook until the ribs have reached an internal temperature of 160°F.
