Viognier
Style
France (mostly northern Rhone valley)
This is Viognier’s home base and its style follows closely the characteristics in the Flavour Descriptors section. One important distinction is that French Viognier is typically drier and less fruity than most New World examples, even though it still can be quite rich.
New World
As with many varietals that originated in France, the New World style offers more obvious ripe fruit flavours and a softer fuller-bodied texture.
