A new pharmacokinetics study was conducted at the University of Mississippi. Researchers investigated the metabolism of Pomella® extract with emphasis on the major polyphenol, punicalagin, and the gut derived metabolites urolithin A and B.1
The study showed that punicalagin rapidly metabolised to ellagic acid which then rapidly absorbed and conjugated after oral administration. The conjugated ellagic acid exposure was approximately 5-8x higher than unconjugated EA for both dose groups, while urolithin A appeared in the bloodstream at a delayed rate, starting approximately 8 hours after dosing. The results support the gut microbiota-mediated metabolism of ellagitannins, specifically punicalagins to ellagic acids and then to urolithins.

LEHVOSS Nutrition are pleased to announce two new additions to the PureWay® range, offering customers more variety for their next food supplement idea. From the creators of PureWay-C® and Liposomal PureWay-C®, we are pleased to add PureWay-B (Vitamin B-Complex) and PureWay-M (Melatonin) to our ever expanding list of liposomal ingredients.
As we age, the ability to absorb B Vitamins from food decreases, and It is estimated that 10–30% of people over 50 do not produce enough stomach acid to properly absorb B12. Also vegans and vegetarians could be at risk of developing a B12 deficiency if they do not get enough of this vitamin through the right foods and/or supplements. Therefore, a food supplement containing PureWay-B (Vitamin B-Complex) could be the innovative solution you are looking for as it has been developed to optimise absorption thanks to liposomal technology.

The awareness of menopause symptoms has increased rapidly over recent years with more options becoming available to help women feel more confident around their menopause. However, an all-too-often overlooked issue is thyroid health which can be linked to, and even confused with menopause symptoms.
The thyroid produces key hormones that impact many aspects of health and wellness. To produce these hormones, the thyroid has to get the micro-nutrient iodine, which is only obtained through diet. Despite the essential nature of this nutrient, most women in the UK and across Europe are not getting enough.1,2
PureSea® offers a plant-based and organic certified solution to get natural iodine, through supplementation.

As the result of a long, co-marketing project between Verdure Sciences® and LEHVOSS Nutrition, we are excited to launch our new PlantNutra® Natural Zinc from Guava!
We are always looking for ways to improve our portfolio and keep up with market trends, and what better way than to add another innovative, clean-label, sustainable, plant-based natural mineral to it. Our zinc is standardised to 2.5% from guava with tannins and polyphenols, which are naturally occurring in the fruit.
Plant-based forms of zinc are a great natural, vegetarian and vegan option which tend to be recognized by the body more easily as they are nutrients normally found in food. The inclusion of tannins and polyphenols found in guava may also offer additional antioxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory benefits.
