As part of the LEHVOSS Nutrition extensive Essentials range, we offer a high-quality Citrus Bioflavonoids Complex from sweet oranges, standardised to a minimum of 60% Hersperidin by HPLC and available as a fine powder. Our ingredient is produced using water extraction, has good solubility and is normally in stock.
As a well-researched, plant-based ingredient, published studies have demonstrated that it may help with managing glucose and cholesterol levels, whilst also having a variety of other benefits such as improve bone loss after menopause and support inflammatory response, making this ingredient ideal for applications supporting healthy aging and women’s health.
Talking about glucose control, a clinical study demonstrated that participants who received 500 mg of hesperidin twice a day for 12 weeks decreased fasting glucose levels, alongside decreased insulin, triclyceride cholesterol levels, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, TNF-α and hs-CRP.1
Other studies have shown that Citrus Bioflavonoids may also help to improve insulin sensitivity2, stating that its multipronged approach is a key factor. Additionally, it may also help with balancing the inflammatory reponse2 due to its strong antioxidant capabilites3,4, as well aiding blood glucose levels management.
