Building on our PlantNutra® range, LEHVOSS Nutrition are now offering Gingerize™ by Verdure Sciences®, which is a high quality, signature, botanical ingredient, standardised to 15% gingerols and shagoals by HPLC. Ginger is a flowering plant that is native to Southeast Asia and is among the healthiest (and most delicious) spices in the world. It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family, which is closely related to turmeric, cardamom, and galangal. The rhizome (underground part of the stem) is the part commonly used as a spice.
The unique fragrance and flavour of ginger comes from its natural oils, the most important of which is gingerol. Gingerol is one of the primary bioactive compounds in ginger and responsible for most of the beneficial effects.
