Our partner Golden Omega® pride themselves on their ability to ensure all their operations are respectful to both environment and ocean, therefore purity is key. In order to fulfil this purpose, they have committed to a sustainability strategy based around four pillars, one of which is environmental care. This is demonstrated by their responsible sourcing, they use only anchovies from the South Pacific, the richest fishing ground for anchovy in the world, and have successfully been audited by ORIVO to obtain this certification of origin, and are Green-e™ certified.
In addition to this, at the end of 2020, the organization Recyclos SPA in Chile certified that throughout the year Golden Omega recycled 246.1kg of waste. What does this mean? In other words, the eco-equivalence waste recovered by Golden Omega was as follows: 3 trees were not cut down, 1100 KWH of energy was saved, 8900 litres of water was saved, 185 litres of petrol were not used and 420 kilograms of CO2 were not emitted into the atmosphere.
I think we can agree that beyond the high quality range of pure and certified Golden Omega fish oil concentrates, there is a clear and continuous commitment from Golden Omega® to preserve natural resources and maintain a strong obligation towards a minimum footprint into the sea. This is a key commitment in today’s environmental and climate challenges. You can be part of this commitment by sharing this initiative with customers each time you choose to use our Golden Omega Concentrates in your finished products.
Please take a look at this short video from Golden Omega® and see how they are actively contributing towards caring for the environment.
